“As a nurse practitioner, my goal is to provide the best and safest evidence-based care to my patients. My care will be individualized and unique to each patient while acknowledging their different situations. While providing high-quality care, I believe my success as a nurse practitioner requires me to accept accountability for being a strong advocate for my patients and their loved ones, as well as being a strong representative of advanced practice nursing.”

Biography

I reside in South Hill, VA which is where I was born and raised. I went to Park View High School and graduated in 2001. From there I went to nursing school in Petersburg, VA and became an RN. I worked for CMH from 2005-2008 on a step-down telelmetry unit. I moved away to Raleigh, NC and worked at WakeMed Hospital in the open-heart ICU from 2008-2014. I got married in 2013 and we moved back to VA and started a family. I came back to CMH and worked in the endoscopy unit and the ICU until I finished FNP school.
