Biography

Dr. Thomas Hicks graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Hicks completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Hicks proudly served our country as a Medical Officer and Internist in the United States Navy for 20 years. His time in the Navy included several deployments onboard the hospital ship USNS Comfort. Additionally, he completed a tour as the Medical Department Head onboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp and also served in various leadership roles as an Attending physician at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.

Dr. Hicks is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.
